Introduction:

YB2 explosion-proof asynchronous AC motor is a kind of motor that can be used in flammable and explosive places, and does not generate electric spark during operation. It is a motor structure that does not generate arcs, sparks or dangerous high temperatures under normal operating conditions, and then takes some mechanical, electrical and thermal protection measures to further avoid arcing, sparking or under normal or approved overload conditions. The danger of high temperatures ensures the safety of explosion protection. It consists of 15 frames ranging from 63 to 355. with a wide power range from 0.12 to 315 KW, totally 82 specifications.
 
YB2 explosion-proof asynchronous AC motors are mainly used in coal, oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries. In addition, it is widely used in textile, metallurgy, city gas, transportation, grain and oil processing, paper, medicine and other departments. Explosion-proof motors are used as the main power equipment and are commonly used to drive pumps, fans, compressors and other transmission machinery.
 
YB2 series asynchronous explosion-proof electric motor is an ideal driving product to meet the needs of high-power equipment in explosive gas environment such as factories and coal mines. It is the basic series of explosion-proof motors of our company YB series. It features high efficiency, low noise, long life and high reliability.
 
The performance of YB2 series flameproof three-phase asynchronous motor meets the requirements of GB3836.2-2010 “Electrical equipment for explosive gas atmospheres Part 2: Explosion-proof type “d”” and the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC79-1 respectively. ExdllAT4 and ExdllBT4 are suitable for dangerous places where the explosive gas mixture of the IIA and IIB temperature groups T1-T4 is present in the coal mine underground non-color excavation working face and the factory.
 
YB2 series asynchronous explosion-proof motor with ExdI explosion-proof mark motor, suitable for coal mine where there is danger of methane mixture and coal dust explosion; motor with ExdIIBT4 explosion-proof mark, suitable for factory class II B, temperature group T1, T2 The environment in which the explosive gas mixture of the T3 and T4 groups exists; the motor with the ExdIICT4 explosion-proof mark is suitable for the environment in which Class II Class C plants are used and the temperature group is an explosive gas mixture of Groups T1, T2, T3 and T4.
 
YB2 series AC flameproof three-phase asynchronous motor has the same power level and installation size as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard. Its correspondence is the same as the German DIN42673 standard, which is beneficial to the export equipment and the spare parts of the imported equipment.
 
The explosion-proof performance of this series of motors complies with GB3836.1-2000 “Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environments Part 1: General Requirements” and GB3836.2-2000 “Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environments Part 2: Explosion-proof Type “d”” The regulations are also compliant with the provisions of IEC79-1, BS4683 and EN50018 to create an explosion-proof type. The explosion-proof marks are ExdI, ExdIIAT4, ExdIIBT4, ExdIICT4, which are suitable for use in places where explosive gas mixtures are present.
 
ExdI is suitable for use in underground coal mine non-mining face environments where explosive mixtures of methane or coal dust are present.
ExdIIAT4 is suitable for use in factory class IIA, where the temperature group is the presence of an explosive gas mixture of Groups T1, T2, T3 and T4.
ExdIIBT4 is suitable for use in factory-use Class IIB, temperature groups in the presence of explosive gas mixtures in the T1, T2, T3 and T4 groups.
ExdIICT4 is suitable for use in factory-use Class IIC, temperature groups in the presence of explosive gas mixtures in the T1, T2, T3 and T4 groups.

Based on YB2 basic series motor, it can also be made into YB2-W outdoor type, YB2-TH indoor wet tropical type, YB2-THW outdoor wet tropical type, YB-TA indoor dry tropical type, YB-TAW outdoor dry tropical Type, YB-T indoor tropical type, YB-TW outdoor tropical type and YB-WF1 outdoor medium anti-corrosion type and other climatic conditions.

YB2 Series Flameproof Three Phase Asynchronous Motor Construction Features

1. A cylindrical shaft extension is equipped on motors, which is driven by coupling or spur gearing.
2. The stator windings are wound with polyester enamel round wire of high strength and then treated with the progress of vacuum pressure impregnation to make them become a solid integral, therefore, the winding insulation is excellent in electrical and mechanical properties, moisture resistance and thermal stability.
3. The rotors are made of cast-aluminum. and dynamically balanced to make the motor operate smoothly with small vibration and low noise.
4. The stator and rotor cores are laminated with high-class electrical steel sheet with high permeability and low loss, thus makes the motors possess low class and high efficiency.
5. The motors are fitted with low vibration and low noise bearings special for motors. For the motors of frame size 160 and below, bilaterally shielded ball bearings are used and corrugated spring washers at the driving ends pressed on bearings with proper pressure to restrain effectively the vibration and noise produced during motors’operation. For the motors of frame size 180 and above. The bearings with inner and outer covers are used and retaining rings at bearing position are equipped on shafts to prevent the rotor efficiently from moving axially. In order to operate safely and reliably, the bearings of the motors flame size 180 and above are provided with greasing Attachments, which are of the use to drain or replenish the lubricating grease without stopping the motors. For the frame size 250 and above, the position for mounting bearing temperature monitoring censers are preliminary left.
6. For the motors of frame size 280 and below, the fans are made of frictional electric proof plastic, being of small inertia movement and low loss characterize. However,for the motors of frame size 315 and above, the cast-aluminum or steel-plate-welded fans are fitted which are of light weight and high strength. For the whole series motors, the fans are key-jointed on the shaft to make the motor operation safely and reliable. The cowls are made of fabricated steel plate. on a prerequisite of preventing from the ingress of solid substances of certain size, they enable the motors to get maximum area of ventilation in order to form adequate currents.
7. Terminal box: The protection degree for the enclosure is IP55 The terminal box is located on the top of the motor. The inside of the terminal box is spacious and easily accessible. Cables can be fitted either from left or right side of the terminal box. Lead-in can be of rubber sheathed cable or steel pipe wiring. According to different requirement of starting the motor, the terminal box is made of either one entry for direct staring or double entry for Y-△ starting threaded flame-proof structure is provided between the terminal box base and the main space of the flame. Between the terminal box base and the connecting tunnel a connecting sleeve is equipped with rubber pad fitted inside for hermetic seal. When servicing, it is not necessary to remove the rubber pad but only the connecting sleeve is to be removed, to ensure flame-proof. The terminal box is designed to have three or six terminals upon request. A terminal for grounding is provided in the terminal box for safety.

3.This range of motor can also be made into Variable-Frequency motors,the range of frequency of which is 0-100HZ,the output and overall dimensions should be confirm separately
